TMT

Stop Illegal Fishing work together on the West Africa Task Force, where Stop Illegal Fishing provide technical support on communications and awareness.

Gunnar Album founded TMT in 2013. Gunnar was a pioneer in the field of the dedicated analysis and tracking of fishing vessels and their owners. Before most others, Gunnar clearly saw the gap in the systematic collection and analysis of fisheries intelligence, and the need for it to be shared, particularly with those countries that did not have the experience to gather and analyse fisheries intelligence, or the resources to manage their fisheries effectively.

TMT provides expert fisheries intelligence analysis to national authorities and relevant international institutions, in support of enforcement actions and broader improvements in fisheries governance. This is achieved through a combination of close cooperation and information sharing with government agencies, through fisheries intelligence gathering and analysis, vessel tracking and the development of technology that assists in the capture of information on fisheries crimes.
